Johan Gunnars

Johan Gunnars’ habitat is at the crossroads of entrepreneurship, business development & technology. After leading several startup journeys, he claims assuming the fetal position in agony is as normal in startup life as screaming from the rooftops in euphoria.

As a startup entrepreneur, currently working on smart calendar Simpliday, Johan has been awarded the Fundraiser of the Year Award by Connect Syd (Scandinavian Business Angels Network), nominated to leading Swedish business daily, Dagens Industri´s Tech Startup of the Year as well as being chosen for Google’s Start-up Programme. At the turn of the millennium he co-founded and lead Avail Intelligence – a market-leading online sales optimization company - later being sold to the U.S. market leader.

In his consulting business, Blueberry Consulting, (Blueberry in this sense meaning ”rookie” in Swedish)Johan is passionately focused on constantly improving the user’s perceived benefits and experience – and in the process helping companies succeed by better serving customer’s ever-changing needs. Among clients served are some of Scandinavia´s largest Corporations and Institutions.

Johan is a Trustee of Stiftelsen Sparbanken Skåne, a foundation granting funds for projects concerning children, infrastructure, research, education, sports and culture - as well as former long-time Chairman of the Board of Entrepreneurship foundation Drivhuset Malmö.

Johan grew up in Sweden, studied Law, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration in Sweden and the U.S. before starting his career at leadership consultancy MiL Institute.

Johan sings tenor in a choir, loves cultural events and enjoys music with a soul - as well as all sorts of Japanese noodles. He lives with his two daughters in a small townhouse in the south of Sweden.

Last, but not least, he holds the prestigious (sic!) title as “The Global Head of the ForeSight Entertainment Team”, which mainly performs at ForeSights retreats.
